Implicit Knowledge

  1. knowledge that is not easy to consciously recall or explain, yet is implied through behavior

Examples:

-Recalling what happened in a movie

-Recalling the days of the week

Examples:

-Singing part of a familiar song

-Recognizing someone’s face

Declarative Knowledge

  1. knowing “what”

  2. memory of facts and events

  3. easily and consciously recalled

Procedural Knowledge

  1. knowing “how”

  2. learned skills

  3. recalled subconsciously
