Step 8: Assess Performance

  1. Allows students to see content areas that they have not mastered

  2. Utilize a variety of assessment methods including exams/quizzes, written assignments, projects, and so on.

  3. Utilize rubrics when grading activities that are specific to each assignment

Examples:

Testing student’s knowledge with pencil paper type tests is one effective way to assess knowledge. Another idea is to have students write reflections after an activity to explain if they understood what was taught.
