■Rate of learning increases because students are less likely to waste time or become frustrated by not understanding material
■Include detailed information such as rubrics in projects
■Provide expectations, instructions, and timelines
Example:
For a unit on Australia, I came up with a rubric to grade students’ participation. At the start of the unit, each student was given a copy of this rubric to refer to make sure they were participating appropriately.
